Privacy policy for a contributor-enterprise network.

Last updated: March 5, 2026 · Applies to websites, dashboard, APIs, and node software
Quick Read: This policy explains what data NetShare handles across web, API, and node products, and when NetShare acts as controller versus processor.

1. Scope and Data Controller

This Privacy Policy explains how NetShare ("NetShare," "we," "us") collects, uses, stores, and discloses personal data when you use our sites, dashboards, APIs, contributor applications, and enterprise services. NetShare acts as data controller for account and platform operations, and may act as processor where services are delivered on enterprise instruction.

Quick Read: We collect account, billing, support, and technical telemetry needed to run the network, secure accounts, and meet legal/compliance obligations.

2. Categories of Personal Data We Collect

2.1 Data You Provide

  • Account identifiers: email, username, hashed credentials, company profile fields, and role type.
  • Billing and payment metadata: order IDs, settlement status, processor references, and invoice details.
  • Support and communications: tickets, chat/email content, attachments, and case history.
  • Compliance submissions: information required for risk checks, sanctions screening, or lawful verification.

2.2 Data Collected Automatically

  • Technical telemetry: IP address, user agent, browser/OS version, error logs, and timestamps.
  • Usage telemetry: pages, feature interactions, API requests, and performance metrics.
  • Network telemetry: dispatch events, traffic volume, session strategy, quality and fraud indicators.
  • Cookie/local storage data for session continuity, language preferences, and security state.

2.3 Anti-Abuse and Device Signals

To reduce abuse, we may derive device and risk signals (for example, browser fingerprint attributes, connection anomalies, and repeated fraud patterns). We use these controls to protect users, contributors, enterprise customers, and infrastructure integrity.

Quick Read: Data is used for service delivery, security, billing, support, and legal compliance, based on contract, legitimate interest, legal duty, or consent as applicable.

3. Purposes and Legal Bases for Processing

  • Provide and operate the Service, including account management, dispatch orchestration, and billing settlement.
  • Perform contract obligations, process transactions, and deliver operational notices.
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, security threats, and policy violations.
  • Improve platform reliability, quality, and user experience through analytics and diagnostics.
  • Comply with legal obligations, enforce rights, and respond to lawful requests.

Where required by applicable law, we rely on one or more legal bases such as contract performance, legitimate interests, legal compliance, and consent (where specifically collected).

Quick Read: We share data with vetted processors and legal authorities when necessary, and may transfer data during corporate transactions under safeguards.

4. Sharing, Disclosure, and Processors

4.1 Service Providers and Subprocessors

We may share personal data with vetted vendors supporting cloud hosting, analytics, security tooling, communications, compliance operations, and payment processing, under contractual safeguards.

4.2 Enterprise and Partner Context

Where enterprise services are used, certain operational metadata may be shared with the relevant enterprise account as necessary to provide contracted routing, metering, and support.

4.3 Legal and Protective Disclosure

We may disclose data to law enforcement, regulators, courts, or other authorized parties when required by law, to protect safety, or to investigate and prevent abuse.

4.4 Corporate Transactions

In a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or asset transfer, personal data may be transferred as part of the transaction subject to applicable confidentiality and legal requirements.

Quick Read: NetShare applies encryption, access controls, monitoring, and operational safeguards, but no system can guarantee absolute security.

5. Security and Integrity Measures

  • Encryption in transit, hardened transport policies, and secure key handling.
  • Role-based access controls, least-privilege principles, and audit logging.
  • Monitoring, anomaly detection, and abuse mitigation workflows.
  • Periodic patching and operational safeguards for production systems.
No method of transmission or storage is absolutely secure. We continuously improve controls but cannot guarantee absolute security.
Quick Read: Depending on your location, you may have GDPR/US state rights (including CCPA/CPRA style rights), and you can submit verified privacy requests without discrimination.

6. Data Retention

We retain data for as long as necessary to provide services, maintain records, meet legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect platform security. Retention periods vary by data category and legal context.

7. GDPR and UK GDPR Rights (Where Applicable)

  • Right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, and data portability.
  • Right to object to certain processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

8. US State Privacy Rights (Including CCPA/CPRA)

Depending on your US state of residence, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of personal information, plus rights to limit use of sensitive data where applicable.

9. Do Not Sell or Share / Targeted Advertising

NetShare does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. Where "sharing" is defined broadly under state law, you may request opt-out of certain disclosures related to cross-context behavioral advertising by contacting us and providing sufficient identifying details.

10. Request Process and Non-Discrimination

To submit a privacy request, contact us using the details below. We may verify identity before fulfilling requests and may deny requests where legally permitted (for example, legal hold, fraud prevention, or security obligations). We do not discriminate against users for exercising applicable privacy rights.

Quick Read: Cookies support core functionality, international transfers use safeguards, child data is restricted, and sensitive/high-risk processing is tightly limited.

11. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, session security, performance measurement, and language/account preferences. You can control cookies in browser settings, though disabling cookies may affect service functionality.

12. International Transfers and Safeguards

Data may be processed in jurisdictions different from your own. Where required, we implement safeguards such as contractual protections and transfer impact assessments designed to protect transferred personal data consistent with applicable law (for example, SCC-style mechanisms).

13. Children's Privacy

NetShare is not directed to children under 13 (or higher age threshold where required by local law). If we learn that child personal data was collected without valid authorization, we will take steps to delete it.

14. Sensitive Data and High-Risk Use

Unless explicitly required and legally supported, please do not submit sensitive personal data through the Service. Enterprise customers are responsible for ensuring their own processing activities, prompts, and payloads comply with applicable data protection law.

Quick Read: We may update this policy when laws or products change; contact privacy@netshare.ai to submit data subject requests.

15. Policy Updates

We may update this Policy to reflect legal, product, or operational changes. Material updates may be announced on our website or dashboard. Continued use after the effective date indicates acceptance of the revised policy where permitted by law.
